4. Tidying up, clearing out

Now it’s good

to clear the house of

everything not

needed, especially

pots, pans, pictures,

baskets, ornaments,

books that won’t

be looked at again, gone

hopes, obsolete dreams.

Some things will go to

children or grandchildren,

some to charity.

From now on self

will be surrounded

by a very few

loved and familiar

objects and still fewer

impossible desires.
